Engineering Group
This group meets once a month on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7.30pm at the Model Engineering Club rooms.
The engineering group is one section of the club which caters for the needs of model engineers from first timers, to experienced model builders. There is a wide range of models built from the simplest steam engines to the most elaborate locomotives.
We don't just build locos, there are IC engines, petrol powered locomotives, electric locos, traction engines, machine tools, plus much more. The club has a workshop for the use of members. It is equipped with a small lathe, large lathe, milling machine, drill press, etc. The engineering group meets on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7.30pm in the club lounge. We welcome new members no matter their level of experience . Members are more than happy to help new members with their projects with advise when needed
If you would like to join, phone the group leader or come to our running day the last Sunday of the month between 1.30 and 4.30pm and make your self known to the members there or print off application form on the web site and post to us and we will be in touch.
