Welcome to the website of the Otago Model Engineering Society (OMES) New Zealand. We hope that you will find something of interest, whether you are a member of the public, visiting model engineer, current member, or prospective member. If you have any comments, please contact our webmaster.  The OMES was established in 1936 when a group of like minded people got together who enjoyed model engineering in particular building and running model trains, traction engines and model boats.

Meeting Times and Event dates

·        General Meeting-2nd Monday of the Month at 7.30pm

·        Committee Meeting-Last Monday of the Month at 7.30pm

·        Scale Railway Group-Every Tuesday at 7.30pm

·        Engineering Group- 3rd Monday of the Month at 7.30pm 

·        Boat Group-The first Wednesday after the monthly meeting at 7.30 pm

·        Thursday toilers- Every Thursday

 

What's on?

Open running day
Last Sunday of the month. Public welcome, train rides available 1:30 - 4:30pm

The Otago Engineering Society will hold Christmas Parties and Birthday parties.
